Meaning: Latin "visible being"

A type of undead monster. The term originated in Germany near the Brocken mountain range. Those near the mountains often heard strange noises coming from the mountains. They referred to those noises as "specters of Brocken". Specters appear as semi-transparent illusory creatures that cannot be touched and cause general mischief. Some reports say that specters can siphon the life-force of lving beings in order to enhance its own power.
